DOCUMENT CERTIFICATION SERVICE

Many documents need a stamp certification before they can be used. Documents usually need certification at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and includes Embassies within other countries. Because we mainly translate Thai documents to Italian language and Italian to Thai, our customers may need certification at the Italian Embassy in Bangkok. It is for that reason, we at "Linguathai" offer certification services for both the above mentioned places.

When you need this service, the first thing you have to do is to contact us (see our contact page), to tell us which kind of document you require us to certify. Preferably, please scan your document and forward it to us. This way "Linguathai" can check it and inform you of the cost involved for your required certification. Once you have accepted our quotation, we will send a courier to take your original document.

As regards the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are two different services: URGENT and SLOW. If you require URGENT service, one of our staff will deliver your document/s to Bangkok in order to get the Ministry's stamp of Certification within the same day. This means when you require URGENT service, you give us your document today and we'll give you back on the following day. The price for these particular services are as follows:

3,500 baht, Linguathai commission (urgent or slow)
400 baht (for page) Ministry taxes (urgent service)
200 baht (for page) Ministry taxes (slow service)

If you require the slow service (to reduce Ministry taxes cost) you will not receive your certified documents next day. This is because the Ministry' slow service requires a few days time. If we deliver your document today, they will return via the postal service within two to three days. We recommend you use the urgent service so your original (and probably very importantly) documents don't travel around Thailand stopping at various by post offices en - route.

As regards to the Italian Embassy in Bangkok, document certification can be more difficult because normally the Embassy may have a back log causing a delay to your documents before we receive them back and then forward them on to you. This could potentially take up to two weeks. The Embassy does not use the postal service to return your certified documents, therefore it is necessary we go to Bangkok twice. Even taxes for stamps are not always the same; it seems it depends on the type of document you give them. So to make a price it is not quite as simple as Ministry service. We need to see your document first, then we can tell you of any foreseeable issues and inform you accordingly of the certification price.
